TREE OF LIFE

1. What type of evolution describes the acquisition of the same biological trait in unrelated species? Can you think of some examples?

  1. 1. THis type of evolution is convergent evolution, where the species aren't closely realated, but they develop similar traits because the live in the same environment. An example are sharks and whales, because they look similar even though the whales are mammals, and the sharks are fish.
