1. TRANSCRIPTION: MAKING mRNA

Click here to watch an animation on how transcription occurs?
1. Where does transcription occur?
2. Where is mRNA travelling to with the message from DNA? Why?

  1. Transcription happens in the nucleus and one strand of DNA is used and matched with free pieces that make up mRNA except the Adenine of the DNA is matched with the Uracil of the mRNA.

It is traveling to ribosomes where it gives the code for proteins.

  2. Mrs. Alonso on eboard you put pages 373 questions 1-10 but in the book they are not their. could you look over it again please.

  4. Daniel, it should say Page 363!!!! Thank you! I already changed it on e-board. It now says Page 363 1-10! Have a nice weekend.

  5. How is mRNA different from DNA or RNA?

    1. Transcription occurs in the nucleus of a cell.

For the second question, I don't understand how mRNA and DNA are different, why can mRNA move but DNA can't?

  6. 1. Where does transcription occur?
    Transcription occurs in the nucleus.
    2. Where is mRNA traveling to with the message from DNA? Why?
mRNA is traveling to the ribosomes to deliver the code for proteins so the ribosomes can properly synthesize the proteins.

  7. 1.Where does transcription occur?
Transcription occurs in the nucleus, in eukaryotic cells.

2.Where is mRNA traveling to with the message of DNA? Why?
mRNA carries the code for proteins and sends it to the ribosome so it can synthesize the proteins.

I commented again. Just saying. :)
